In London today, Bertrand Chamayou accepted the prize for Best Chamber Music Album in the 2018 BBC Music Magazine Awards, for his Debussy Sonatas and Trio album.

He received the award on behalf of fellow French musicians Renaud Capuçon (violin), Edgar Moreau (cello), Emmanuel Pahud (flute), Gérard Caussé (viola) and Marie-Pierre Langlamet (harp).

Chamayou explained the special connection between the musicians on the album in a live interview earlier today on BBC Radio3’s In Tune. He also performed Debussy’s Clair de lune at the awards ceremony at King’s Place in a tribute for the Debussy centenary year.
