Warner Classics Interviews, Press

For the latest edition of Point de Vue magazine (with Meghan Markle on the cover), Bertrand Chamayou reveals his best kept secrets in his personal guided tour of Toulouse, the city in South West France where he was born and spent many happy childhood hours cycling along the canal and precociously discusing Frank Zappa with his hairdresser.

His favourite haunts include Les Abattoires, a contemporary art gallery where he has given concerts and organised musical ‘happenings’, the sprawling book haven Ombres Blanches (White Shadows), and the Musée Georges-Labit, with its improbable collection of Asian and Egyptian art that Chamayou cites as a source of inspiration for his forthcoming album featuring Saint-Saëns’s ‘Egyptian’ piano concerto.
